Anyone played this game yet? I was curious to see if Brewington is in the game.

Saw it was out at Game Stop and I bought it. Read some reviews on it and after figuring out it was the same exact game as 06, I took it back. I had a set of ratings, didn't know if they were the official ratings that came with the game or the updated version someone was working on.

Anyway, here is the link:

I bought it and I've been playing it a little. I've never bought the College Hoops, I've always bought the EA Sports version, but I like it so far. I guess Brewington is in it... because Larry isn't the star of the team, but his number isn't right.

Brewington's in it. So is Bannister, but he's not eligible to play in legacy games.

It's pretty much the same as 06, yes, at least in terms of graphics. There have been some additions, like more fight songs. Plus, I like having the updated rosters. It's only 20 bones, so it's a no-brainer for me.

I last bought EA's game in 04. It sucked. EA puts all of its muscle into Madden, College Football, Tiger and FIFA. The rest of their games are blah.

this game has the right names (roster) in the game instead of making up some name?

you can't have names in college games, just numbers. Unless you recuit. I assume those guys have names.

With a transfer system, like MaxPort, you can download named rosters from second-hand websites and import them into the game.

How much of Liberty is in the game? I'm not talking about rosters or anything, but do our jerseys at least look okay? How about our arena? Secondly, one of the things I like about the college football game, and they didn't have it in one of the basketball games that I played, is that there is a difference in game play when your little team plays another little team, versus a bigger team.

Uhhh, I'm sick and medicated right now if that was incoherent.

Duke vs. North Carolina should have a big game atmosphere. I'm sure that the game captures that well...

But what about Liberty vs. Lipscomb? It shouldn't feel the same way. Does it?

Liberty's jerseys are the ones from last year, not the new ones we have now. The Vines Center floor is correct. The only time there's a "big game" atmosphere is if you're playing in the Big South Tournament in the Vines.

Will someone change the title of this to 2K7 instead of 2K&? Sorry, it's bugging me.

most basketball video games suck

I got the 2005 (not the EA game) for a present and bought the 2006 (the EA one) version at a charity auction.....neither game was very good and I hardly ever play them. Now college football games are a completely different story...:D

I think an older version of the ESPN game had it set where if you typed in the first few letters of a players name, the game autofilled the player data with the real name......I also think they got into a little hot water from the NCAA for doing that though.

I have the game, it's okay from a gameplay standpoint (too many points-in-the-paint, which is the bane of all basketball games that I play). I think that's excusable though, because I'm glad to actually SEE Liberty in a video game. EA Sports has dropped the ball in recent years, good to see 2K picking up the slack. Russell Monroe is rated far too high (60), which is comparable to Alex McLean.

I bought 2k6 last year and really liked it. The players were pretty accurate and game play is decent. I am not sure if they still make March Madness but I did like some of the options they had like the Duke vs UNLV game ( 90? Championship Title game)

My favorite basketball game was the college basketball game from 989 sports for the original playstation back in the day. I think it was called Final Four '97 or something like that.

It had the Vines center COMPLETLEY correct. The floor...the blue seats, the ceiling...and even the red and blue stripes that run on the back of the wall.

I also liked the game play better. I have bought both EA's and Sega's college bb games for my XBOX, but they always dissapoint me.

yea the ratings arent EXACTLY correct, Like Tyler Baker is about a 52 or 53 or something, when we all know he should be around an 85 or so :D
