Taking a vacation from the Padre´s front office? I´m guessing you meant David, who was always rumored to be the ¨best player out there¨in practices and scrimmages, but not so much in games.
Word is that Tyler Baker had far and away the best game of his career in a secret scrimmage against ECU.
Flame wrote:They are games. LU played a closed scrimmage last Saturday vs VMI and yesterday vs Hampton. I heard both scrimmages were pretty even. If they really play that well during this season, the Flames will win more games than most have been predicting.

I don´t know why people have a hard time understanding that playing a couple of non D1 opponents early in the season is normal for a lower level D1 program like ours. We have 3 on the schedule this year, which is probably 1 more than you would want most years, but considering our youth and inexperience it is probably a good thing for us. We´ll have 5 guys starting on Friday, but I wouldn´t read too much into who they are. It´s going to change for sure when Dawson becomes eligible, and I doubt if we will have an established rotation til sometime in January.
2) Have the starters been named yet?

This is probably going to be a tough year for the Keydets, transitioning from Dugger to a more ¨normal¨style and tempo, but glad to hear we came out on top.Flame wrote:They are games. we beat VMI in a close game and I haven't got the word about what happened vs Hampton. #22 Dawson did not play (NCAA Transfer rules... Prohibit players from even scrimmaging)
