Oh come on guys. The pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, turnover or force up a shot offense is working just fine!

We did not have a problem with turnovers last night. Any coach of any team any day will be happy with 7 turnovers in a game. We also hung with WU on the boards and outscored them from the line. You can not judge a game by the stat sheet. And it is not a stretch to say we were over matched athletically.
We shot horribly, especially from 3. We made 3 of 20 3s. Normally we make 7 or 8 of those. That´s another 12 or 15 points and we win. I didn´t have a video feed of the game so I can´t even begin to comment on how much of that was a direct result of WUs defense and how much was just cold shooting, but I think it is a stretch to assume it was because nwe were overmatched athletically as some have said. Coastal shot 2 for 20 from 3 against us. Was that because they were overmatched by our athleticism? I doubt it.

How do we know? The stat sheet. The turnover situation here is a perfect example. What does having a hot or cold shooting night have to do with the rest of your post?
If we went 3 for 20 against WU because they were in our jocks all night and we never got a good look, then maybe you can say we were overmatched. That´s hard for me to believe because we got good looks and made them against CSU for example, and I think their guards are as athletic as any in the BSC. When a team is overmatched by defensive athleticism, doesn´t that normally lead to turnovers? Doesn´t an athletic mismatch generally result in the more athletic team dominating the boards or blocking a lot of shots? None of that happened.
I don´t know why it´s so hard to accept that sometimes a team wins or loses because they have a hot or cold night shooting. Winthrop normally doesn´t shoot that well from 3 and we normally don´t shoot that poorly. They won. We lost.
