God bless - all you Flame Fans
Good to see you are still following the team grm. Don´t be such a stranger! I am now ready to say that I think this team has turned the corner and is going to make some noise in the rest of the conference schedule. I´m sure the last weeks results have opened some eyes around the league.

I'm sure Naz did a great job. I'll step aside if that's what you want Haize.

Nice big win! The biggest game of the year is Saturday, why? Cause it's the next game...
Flames playing well, looking more comfortable for sure... Need road wins to climb ladder though.

Hey, hey, hey, I was already taking heat on Twitter for being the "reason" Liberty played so well last night. Now it's spilling over to Flamefans? :D

I cannot possibly explain why, but somehow it's irresistible - that is, not jumping on board
to get some digs at you.

Now I hate myself

Hahaha I just glad to have you back on the board grm! It has been a while. Hope things are well out there.

BTW if you guys really want to turn the screws on me, hit he and Mike Tilley on Twitter during the games when we are on the air. Use #FSNTV (Medic has no idea what I am talking about I'm sure). We may even comment on the air.

Well lets look at our record when you call games and our record when you don't? At this level SCAR it's all about Wins and Losses. I mean you are a good guy and all, but lets be honest, where are your priorities? Hob nobbing in DC on game day? Just sayin...... :D

I was skeptical but this team is getting better. They were extremely fun to watch last night. I see things coming together and maybe we can finish the last part of the season on a run deep into BSC tourney and get into the tournament.

That is going to require a very narrow definition of what is a ¨deep run¨ie: winning the whole daggum thing!

Getting hot late is not a bad way to get to the Championship game. VMI was a 7 seed last year and got to the final game. They had to play 3 games prior to get there so it was a long road. Finishing 1 or 2 and getting a bye is going to mean valuable IMO. Then staying out of Coastal's bracket will be important so you don't have to play a true road game. I think Liberty can beat anyone in this league. I think that about almost every team except Longwood. Although I don't think Longwood will go 0 for the season in Big South play either. They will beat someone on their home court. With Darren White being out for Campbell, the North is kind of wide open. I like the way the team is coming together.

Haize as much as I like DC, You know on Gamenight I would rather be in Lynchburg than probably anywhere else in the world. Liberty is 4-0 in home games I haven't called this season so....You may have a point Play Basketball

Didn't get to see the game last night but the stats mean anything, that was a heck of a game we played. Those are the kind of games you can say, "If we play like that all season, we can win the conference." I really hope we see that kind of performance the rest of the season. Not to discredit the rest of the team, but Speaks really stepped up last night.

When this team plays 40 minutes they look pretty good and as of late the offensive side has been looking better. If we get JCS, Marshall, and Speaks all on in one game we are unstopable in then BSC. When you have 3 players combine for nearly 70 points. Its a good night.

I finally got a chance to watch the Campbell game on the DVR (its good to be home) and I have to say that for those that have been critical of John Caleb Sanders this year, you have to admit he played a great all around game on Tuesday against a pretty good Big South team. He has had moments where he gets himself in trouble with penetration but as a guard I understand what he is trying to do. On Tuesday it was really working in terms of finding teammates and not over penetrating. Andrew Smith has a chance to be special as well. It isn't showing in the stat sheet all of the value he is bringing to the table right now. I'm glad the team is playing well now. I really hope it continues with a win today at Winthrop.

He played better but still not well. He did stop more his penetrations 12-15 feet out giving more room for others to operate. He didn't dominate the ball as much and found his niche as a shooter. We will see if it continues to improve

Haize,

I made my post based on the eye test and didn't even look at his stats. 21 its 7 asst. 2 TO's in 30 min. That's playing well.

Wow. For someone nobody seems to think has that much talent, you are holding JC to a pretty high standard. 21 points on 5 for 9 shooting with 2 for 2 from 3 and 9 for 10 from the line to go with 7 assists and only 2 turnovers. What does he need to do to get a ¨well done¨?

I was using the eye test as well. Plus the fact I only watched the first half. Ill "upgrade" my assessment But the reasons IMO why it was a good game for him I pointed out earlier. If he continues to do that it would be a good thing. I'm just not confident that he will. I know. I know that makes me a hater

Go back to what I said earlier about dominating the ball and positioning. He should have better shooting from beyond the 3 than the lane because someone's penetration is setting him up. I upgraded my score based on the numbers (see my response to SCAR). If he could keep up that play consistently against good D1 competition then I'd re assess my opinion. I'm not saying the kid has no talent.

Consider who the competition is. And Campbell is falling fast!
Where the game is being played. LU is always better at home!
Very good players help team WIN, both consistently home & away!
JCS will score a lot but playing on winning teams, yet to be determined...
