This was a fun game, makes me more hopeful for conference play. Started with good defensive intensity; we kept turnovers to a minimum against a long and athletic team and found some offensive rhythm. Gielo got off to a great start - you can tell he wants the ball on offense; his left-handed driving hook was huge! The lineup of Jesse, JC, Tavares, Tomasz and Antwan looked particularly good.

Good to see coach Gill get introduced, nice to see him at the game.

We shot over 46% from the floor BJ. Most coaches will take that any night.

As I said, we did much better in the second half. Definitely good to see a solid home win. Have a game we should win easily on Tuesday to put us in a good vibe going into Christmas

I really think this team can make a run.

Give Gielo the ball.

That's all I have to say about the game really. Other than a great win.

We put forth a great effort for the entire 40 minutes. We play with intensity and heart. I like the combo of Gielo and Baird. They're going to be quite the combo in the very near future. They have skills for big men that will be hard to match in BSC - advantage LU. Throw in Andrew Smith and we will have a lot of options at the 3,4 and 5 with size :D

Solid win at home. Shows we can compete in conference games. The community has abandon the program. Did not see the 780 claimed attendance.

One thing I like about Gielo is his perimeter ability. Having a guy with his height who can extend the defense and then can take the ball into the paint when they stretch out to cover the long range shot is a major plus and will help guys like Minaya and JVP once they get healthy

Hands down the best game we've played all year. If we can get Minaya and JVP back after the Montreat game i think this team can make some noise. Gielo is every bit as good as advertised. He didn't play in a month a half and came out and played atleast 20 to 25 solid minutes while he was out there. He has all the skills and the size and not to mention he has a super swift stroke. Antwan has really turned it up the last couple games as well. I hate to be the big "if" guy but if we didn't lose JB and Gielo for so much i think this team could have been very very good.

It really looks like Gielo and Baird (as they get healthier) will get more playing time as the season wears on which I think will cut into Minaya's and Van der Pol's minutes. The future looks good. New point guards and JUCOs will put this team into contention next year for BSC. Be patient with this team and with this coach. Play Basketball IMHO

Last night was the first time this season they team looked comfortable. They weren't perfect but the comfort level just looked much improved which is encouraging. It wouldn't be the first time a Liberty team got it's act together just in time for the conference schedule to fire into full swing. Should be an interesting couple months.

They won't blow us away but I think they proved they don't need to be awful and that the talent is there to compete. Kudos to coach and the players for putting in the work needed to continue to improve

Nice to see us get a decent win and we looked much improved yesterday from what I saw in the game. Gielo looked really good and could be our answer at the post. JC is starting to come around and so is Burrus to take some of the pressure off Jesse.

Alright, enough with the pessimism. It’s time to rally behind this team. They are giving it their all. Saturday night they looked like a solid team. If we stay healthy from here on out, and play like we did Saturday night, there’s no reason to think we couldn’t finish in the middle of the pack in the conference.

I loved what I saw out of Gielo. Let’s hope he keeps that up and perhaps even improves as he gets into game shape. Jesse is Jesse. JC and Tavares were solid. Burris looked good. If we can get Minaya and JVP back we should be decent.

I've heard his name pronounced like 4 different ways. I've heard everything from "Jello" to "Gill Low" to "Yellow". Does anyone know which way is correct? :dontgetit
