I understand what you are saying SJ, but it's not going to happen, especially on the Baptist side. As a middle aged guy with a bad leg, I can tell you that walking down all those steps with no rail to sit near the front is an adventure for me right now, so I can imagine what it is like for some of our older fans. Add to that the fact that some people simply are not going to stand the whole game, and therefore want to sit where they can be fairly sure they will be able to see the action sitting down. You aren't going to see those bottom 10 rows full all the way around with less than about 6500 in the house. Maybe more like 7000.

I'm really sad I didn't get more involved with LUnatics. This thread is a great example of the great stuff they did during games. I hope that the boobox is able to take it to the next level.. staying in line with the Liberty Way of course.

I love your idea SJ about the first 10 rows being full, that would make things look great on tv AND noise would be a factor too. I think it would just make it sound full.

Also, props to Kevin for meeting with you guys, he's taking time out of his day for a meeting that I'm fairly confident wouldn't happen at any other University.

Meeting with Kevin went phenomenal. We ended up talking for about 20 minutes about a mix of what was done wrong in the past and how we should handle it from this point on. He liked everything we do but he questioned the black (which was expected) we told him that we would change it and that he would accept anything from red to navy blue but he said that he would definitely prefer red but he would be fine with the navy blue. I think that we will go with red shirts and customize a logo to be "set-apart" we told him that our motives were to help the athletics department, unify the crowd, and support the team. He really liked that and appreciated our motives. We told him we would help out with anything they need pre game or post game and anything in the middle. We pretty much wanted him to know he could count on us for help if we are asking him for help and I think he really appreciated that. All in all he just said he would help us and we would help him and he would be our faculty advisor so we could make the group official. It was a great meeting. And SJ I told him and Rachel that you said hi and he had nothing but great things to say about you. I even got the story of your beginnings with LU athletics and your end felt like I got to know you a little bit more haha.

Glad everything went well. It's hard for Kevin to tell you something and you not do it. Looking forward to seeing you guys in red. If you want my opinion on the shirt, I'd say obviously red shirt and navy blue logo. Then have everyone by cheap $5-6 navy blue long sleeve shirts from Old Navy or something and go with navy sleeves. That'd set you apart.

Also, I'd love for you to take over the name of The LUnatics. The name is already established and it encompasses everyone in the student body. It's already technically a club on campus so you wouldn't have to go through all of the trouble doing the paperwork and that stuff. All you would have to do is contact SGA and change the name of the officers.

I am honored that you would ask us to take the name LUnatics and if it were just my say I would go for it 110% I need to talk to the guys that are running it with me because I am a senior this year and the guys that I have that are running it with me are freshman I am trying to show them everything to do and keep this thing going strong for at least 3 more years. Right now its a 3 man partnership so I will talk to them bounce ideas and see what happens. Keep the ideas coming I love the red shirts with navy blue sleeves good touch. And the 20 minutes wasnt about all the mistakes haha he only spoke a little bit about those.
