I was thinking about this last night as CSU whittled down the lead in the 2nd half last night. Who on Earth do we want to take the game winner? Cold shooting Ohmerson? A freshman? Try to feed one of our post guys? I'm not sure I'd be confident in any of these options

Gordon. He's a gamer.

Evan or Ohman. In that order. I think Evan could be more clutch, but Kyle is still the better shooter overall. So I wouldn't mind Kyle getting the last shot.

Maybe later in the season. Right now, Gordon's only had a couple of games where he's shot well. I think it's Kyle by default.

I think if Kyle were to shoot a little more of the three-ball in the game, I would say Kyle no doubt because of his experience. However, he isn't shooting very many three's right now so I don't know how he would be cold.

Jesse airballed a 3 last night and got blocked 3 or 4 times driving to the basket.

Did you see that wide open 3 he didn't take in the 2nd half last night? Instead he pump faked, dribbled and passed. I wonder what that's all about.

Those are the ones I'm talking about. I'm perfectly fine with the pump fake and drive when he has a guy closing in on him and it would be an iffy shot, but he can knock down that open shot all day every day if he takes it.

I think the coaching staff is drilling into the players' heads the idea of ball movement and passing up a good shot for a better shot, especially after the first few games where there was a ton of one-on-one basketball going on. I had the same reaction as Jon did on that Ohman play, but it was really early in the shot clock and the way Liberty was set up on offense on that play, a missed 3 probably would have led to a long rebound an easy transition basket for CSU. So in retrospect, the pass was the smart play.
