As an avid golfer you cannot beat MB. Over 100 courses to play in the area, I would vote MB all the way although I do like Charleston. It is very inexpensive to get extremely nice hotel rooms there this time of year.

Any chance someone could check the guys' and girls' schedule closely to see if we are doing a double header away anywhere?
I checked the schedules, and unless I missed something we do not have any double headers on the road this year. I did notice while checking that the WBB beach trip is on the Sat/Mon schedule; 1/23 in Charleston and 1/25 in Conway. Depending on how many people you are willing to share a room with, I think a package of transportation, lodging and tickets could be done for as low as $125-$150. That would be one night in Charleston and one in MB. I know this is the wrong forum, but I'd like to know if there is any interest at all before I start a seperate thread there. I think the MBB game at Winthrop 1/9 is still a great option, and could probably be done for around $30.

It's a 5:00 tipoff in Charleston on Sat. 1/23, so departure from the burg would need to be that AM (maybe 8:00). My first thoughts on an itinerery would be to go from the game to the market area for shopping and dinner (several of the Charleston restaurants mentioned in other threads are there) before going to the hotel. Spend the day Sunday in Charleston with a visit to a local church which I would guess would be optional, and then sightseeing the rest of the day and leave for MB sometime that evening. The whole day Monday would be in MB, with opportunities for golfing, shopping or just hanging out in the beach area. Game is 7:00 Monday night and then straight home, with ETA in Lynchburg about 2:30 AM.

I definitely would love to be there for the game. Great idea.
