Well Minaya went to a really good basketball high school in Florida, he averaged something like 25 ppg and 10 rbs. He transfered here from Tennesse Tech. He is a lights out shooter (He beat KO in a shootout, although KO beat him in other ones too) He can hit shots right and left handed. He needs a little work on his D but he should be good.

DOM??? He did not come from a basketball school!! It's a little 1A school in Tampa called Oldsmar - we beat the 134-35 my senior year. They play other very small schools.

Flexing those message board muscles there aren't you? Radford with their coaching staff, phase 1 completed in Dedmon Center renovations, increased commitment to athletics as a whole, and arguably the best recruiting class coming in, I assure you that it is your squad that needs to worry about where their program is heading. That being said, I wish Winthrop the best of luck in remaining relevant as we move further and further from the Marshall era.

As much as we hate to admit it, Radford climbed to the top of the mountain. They won the championship last year, and their best player is returning for another year (I won't try to spell his name). If they can keep the rest of their team out of Penn State (oh wait, did I say Penn State? I meant, 'state penn'), they'll be the favorites next year.

The way I see it, Liberty and Winthrop are in the same spot -- the 'we're rebuilding' mode. Winthrop hasn't been the same since Gregg Marshall left for Wichita pastures, and it remains to be seen if this new guy can continue Marshall's successful run (I know Peele won in his first year, but that was largely Marshall's team). Liberty, on the other hand, has perennially been in 'we're rebuilding' mode. I'm not a fair-weather fan... but I've seen enough highly-touted prospects fail to deliver in the Vines Center (and in other of our facilities, for that matter). I just hope that those prospects, when they do deliver, don't bolt for Durham... so that we can have the chance to build a team, and not re-enter every year in 'rebuilding' mode.
