I agree, Layer has moved very quickly having to come in behind the 8 ball...keep in mind guys McKay had his feet under him when he brought us our Freshman last year...wait until Layer gets his feet under him next year before fair judgment can be passed

He had a NLI from Patrick Konan, a player who wasn't even on our radar screen before, within a week of his hire. He has retained Vander Pol and got a letter from Perez, and hired 2 assistants, and let's not forget his number 1 recruiting coup, which was getting Jesse to stay.
Keep in mind also that there has been (and still may be) some ambiguity as to who is returning and who is not. I expect at least 1-2 more signees before May 20.
