Apparently Jason Eaker has impressed a lot of people with the job he is doing. McKay referred to him as a "rising superstar in the coaching profession" (or words to that effect) and Layer couldn't announce he was retaining him fast enough. That's 2 pretty good recommendations. I think we're lucky to have him, but I also can't see someone with Lundy's resume being in a position where he had to answer to anyone but the head coach. Quite frankly, I don't think the 123 designations of assistant coach mean a lot, except maybe in salary. The head coach can assign duties however he feels best.

I think in an ideal world, Layer will stay here 5-10 years and have us competing at the top of the BSC with Eaker as his top man the whole time. Then Layer can retire and Eaker can take over the head job.

This news hasn't been posted to the website yet, so of course they haven't updated the coaching staff. Still love ya though

I don't think Soko has signed anywhere yet. UVA passed, VCU is interested, but it's highly questionable whether he will play anywhere next year because he still hasn't been approved by the NCAA clearinghouse.

Yeah I think he sits this season...
Not exactly sitting. Probably more than like a year in a post-grad prep school program.

So is there still any chance he comes to us after this year once everything gets cleared up?

Wow, the Guillory guy has an MBA? I guess there's not a going-rate for business execs in this economy of ours. Nice hire.

He was one of Dale Layer's assistants at Colorado State. He's a solid recruiter and a solid game planner. I used to enjoy talking to him before the games where he had the scout. And from my observations at practice, I found him to be a very good coach re: point guard play.

I know you Flame fans will like Myron because he's my friend and he knows basketball. In him, you have someone who will bring 110% to the court every single time...no exceptions. If he has enough reigns, I believe he can make the Flames look like someone is controlling them with a playstation controller!
