I've never eaten anything other than a Krispy Kreme. Then again, I live 20-25 minutes from the original.

Thankfully when Krispy Kreme went bankrupt following their horrendous IPO they closed up all of their shops down here. Don't get me wrong, they're donuts were tasty. But I don't need anything else overpriced in my life. The best donuts I've found anywhere are Round Rock Donuts over in the Austin area. Yum.

Talk about your complete hijackings.

See SCAR that is why we are different. My vertical and my jump shot were similar "Nothing but net baby!"

Sly is like "that guy". Everybody knows one. Especially in college. You probably knew 5. They're usually from Texas. And I'm not just saying that to pick on Sly.

yes "that guy" for us was Earl the Twirl Allman who we spoke of in the Walk on thread. He was funny about Texas. However there was a guy named Mark Connor that everyone knew that could spin a story bigger than anything in Texas. He was from Winchester VA but he could tell whoppers. In fact to this day his name is synonymous with over the top stories to us old hags especially at homecoming. No matter what story you told, he could top it instantly. You could tell him you were an astronaunt and were the first guy to ever walk on Mars and he would "know a guy" that did something twice as impressive with a fraction of the resources! He was hilarious. Plus he would get angry if you challenged the validity of his story. He used to tell us about a kid at his home that was in the 8th grade that could "start at Liberty right now!" "did a 720 degree dunk backwards over a guy in a game!" "55 inch verticle." Then he would typically top a story like that with a closing statement like, "and he didn't even have to take a running start!" He and I actually became good friends when he lived above me in a duplex my 2nd senior year (1990-91).

Say what? Have I said everything is bigger & better in Texas? I just mentioned the best donuts I had tasted were in Round Rock. But I'm sure there are better donuts somewhere else. They just aren't Krispy Kremes.

We hung out all the time my senior year. Actually spent spring break at his parents house in Clear Lake, which I think is behind NASA.

Last time I saw him was in San Antonio in 2001. He hung out with me and Monster while the NCAA Midwest Regional was in town(gonna be down there for the NCAA tourney next year, SCAR or anyone else that may want come down. 11 years in-a-row). Anyway, that was my boy, for sure.

Anyone heard from him?
