As far as officials go, according to the box score, Mike Eades worked the game. He must be fast because he "T'd up" Bruce Pearl last night in the Vanderbilt game, which started at 9:00. So, obviously someone screwed up our box score.

As far as the FT disparity, look at the styles of play last night. VMI attempted 58 shots. 19 of those were 3-pt attempts.

We attempted 68 shots. 34 of those were 3-pt attempts....HALF of our attempts were 3's.

Translation - they attacked the basket....we didn't. Ergo, they are going to be fouled more.

Wow, this team has lost 6 out of the last 8 games!

I heard that the team is taking this last setback really hard.

Hopefully, they find themselves and get back on the right track.

Taking this last setback really hard? They should take EVERY setback really hard, it shouldn't take a game like this (a must-win game for postseason implications) to do that.

bad defense early in the game which set the tempo...just like the longwood game. it was gutty comeback but we had no one to stop reggie or anyone else for that matter. we are not playing defense and we are not knocking down open shots. it's not like VMI was not playing good D. we just can't knock an open shot down. maybe we have finally just worn down. i think some of these guys would rather look pretty or do stupid showboating crap than get out there and play hard. it is just disappointing. but let's stick with the team through thick and thin. maybe we can find some magic!

Amen. Not just our team, though. Basketball in general, is heading in this direction.

We had no defense against Reggie. He came down dropped his shoulder and BAm!!! It was ridiculous after awhile. Alex didn't start and we took time to get into a rythm. Once he was in we started to look decent. And it was too late. Thats all I haave to say about that.

Seeing the guys at school today, I disagree with that.

Well, it's "Show up or Shut-up" time. Who knows whether Radford is a big game (standings-wise) or no, but I think we need it to get ready for a good run in the BS.

They need to be ready to go, and I'm figuring that RMK + the experience will kick in, and they'll play like champions the rest of the way. This is their time in history (so to speak) with the senior players closing out their collegiate careers & with the coach's proven expertise in big time ball, I think we can expect good things.

Motivation? All of the above, and the determination and drive to avoid a 2-8 finish. I don't know what time practice is, but you can bet that all parties, including administration, are 100% focused right now.

Go flames, and let's turn this thing into a positive. Let's forget all about the 2-6, and start aiming for a 4-0 run!!!

4-0 run right now would be great.

A game like this can serve as a dagger to the heart or a wake-up call and catalyst leading toward success.

I guess we'll find out soon enough.

It might have been Wooden who said that we were to "have character, not be one." I know there is some some strong character on the team, and let's trust in that.
