in response to all of the above.... they did do the D-1 & D-2 nationals on the web....the D-1 coverage was absolutely horrible, couldn't watch a complete game due to the interuptions in the video stream... it was actually easier to keep up period by period by using the cell phone...D-2 was outstanding...great streaming video & audio... Rast McGibbon and his brother Rhett along with 2 other guys did the color for it. they usually had 2 games going on until the semi's and the finals. Rasty is in Med school and Rhett is in school, not sure what his plans are for the Nationals this year.

To answer your question: Here are the guys who will be broadcasting the D2 nationals
Dave Kurtz- Former LU asst. coach, current NC State coach, Head of Liberty Hockey alumni....or me
Rhett McGibbon- Current LU student, former LU D2 player
Dave Walls- LU graduate, former LU hockey radio broadcaster 98-01, former LU women's basketball PA
Adam Schucman- Former GM of Indiana Hockey
Rick Kaminiski- Former Coach of Oakland, current executive in ACHA D2
Sorry no Rasty this year, hopefully next year

about halfway down the page I start hammering him about the accent, then it goes downhill
I did apologize, though

it was Dave that I offended, not Rasty.
and I'm still offering my apologies
This is Dave, I appreciate your "constuctive criticism" on this page and IM's. Maybe tomorrow you can calls us hacks and spit on us. Good thing we aren't paying out of our pocket to come up here, and spend time away from our families to call 14 games in 4 days to advance both Liberty and the ACHA to further respectablity... Oh wait we are.

Kurtz and Rasty freakin rock! i remember hoppin on the broadcast with em for a couple seconds back in 05 at nationals up in michigan. it was rough bein the photo guy for the champion, but somebody had to cover hockey... *sigh*
co-incidentally, i did get one of my greatest photos at that tourny with LU vs. CO St.
pierce got in a fight with some CO St. kid, drops him and then stands over him with his arms wide open screaming at him... CLASSIC!
there were so many guys kicked out that suspensions carried over to the next year. i think LU had 10 guys that left early. brutal game, but very entertaining for the fans. oh, and the refs hosed us. you'd have thought we were Presbyterian U. or something.
