My family had a great time at the hockey game tonight. The arena was virtually packed and LU seemed to have over half the crowd. Liberty gear everywhere and girls with LU Flames painted on their faces. I do not think the home crowd knew what they were in for. I got there as the anthem was played and found the last seats available in West Chester's section.

It seemed like LU spent most of the second period down 5 guys to 3 which made for some exciting play. One LU player made a West Chester guy do a 360, feet over head, in the air. I couldn't cheer to loudly at that moment because I think I was sitting next to the other guy's parents.

The #5 team in the nation on the road at #10 was definitely a good matchup and LU poured it on toward the end of the second and in the beginning of the third period to come from behind and win 4-2.

It was also fun watching a sporting event in Philly and being able to cheer for a guy named Dykstra for the first time in a dozen or so years.

Kevin Dykstra was the LU player that laid the devastating 360 on WC
Chatting with Dr. Benner (friend, orthopedist & parent of a WCU player) he commented that at least 60% of the fans were for Liberty.
To expand on Baldspot above, this was a good road win over a very good WCU team.

Game 1 Friday evening was a 7-3 loss.
Liberty took to the ice with 14 skaters; the rest of the team did not dress and watched from the stands
2 Liberty players were gamed, 1 in the first for spearing and 1 in the third for unsportsman like behaviour.

The Dykstra hit was an espn top 10 - the hit was so perfect that in addittion to a complete aerial 360, the kids gloves exploded off of his hands and it took a moment to get his gear after he regathered his wits......
