Just thought you would want to know that the women's team moved into overall 4th place now. Good things happening across the board for hockey. Guys team won their first game, not sure what the result was tonight.

Girls team is on break until Jan when school starts back were we host URI at home and get to take a run at them on our home pad. If we win both of these games it will move us into 2nd or 3rd in the Nation. Girls have done really well, keep supporting us as we continue to compete.

The girls have won 17 of their last 19...including the last 6 games and are averaging 5.05 gpg. The last team to score more than 3 goals in a game against LU is URI (URI won 5-1). The Rams actually are the only team to beat LU in the last 19 games.

We played URI at home on their ice with the (home refs) It was so bad to have ref's like that, completely handed them the game, I don't know if anyone looked at how many penalties we had in that game where they beat us 5 something, but we finally told the girls to go defend themselves and let them know LIBERTY wont back down, we will fight to the end, I think we had more bodies taken out of the game and more people in the box then I have ever seen before. Our girls soooo hard that game and got cheated, we are off for a whole month when we come back and play them and that scares me, but the girls are tough and willing to fight for it. Some are on the ice over break and I hope they come prepared because we are going to BEAT URI that weekend, if we win both games we will move to second in the nation probably. We need your thoughts and prayers all break for these two games coming up.

Update, we now have 6 girls confirmed for freshman coming in and both of us coaches are spending an entire 4 weeks on the road recruiting, we will watch over 160 hockey games and we will invite over 55 girls to our try-out camps in April at Liberty, we need prayer and support as we recruit future players. This is very exciting, we traveled through bad weather coming up here but we made it to Canada and we just arrived now (sunday night) we will see everyone on Jan 13 back in Lynchburg, Thank you for your support.
