I wanted a separate forum for this game so we didnt have to go through the other one.
Only has 6 losses on the season, although the teams that they lost to that we played, we won the games. Should Still be a close one.
Puck drops at 7

I'm on my way to coaching my son's soccer practice. So if anyone is following the game live online, please post progress reports so I can get an idea of the flow of the game when I get home.

early penalty on penn state. so far its just going back and forth, we attack, they attack. Announcers are definitely going for penn state. LU switched to stoltz for tonight, and hes stopping everything penn state has to offer so far

We pulled Dalton from goal with a little less than two minutes to go trailing 2-1. We've been on power play for much of the last few minutes of this game.
:17 to go and we're in a timeout.

WE collect a penalty with :08to go so we'll still have goalie pulled and no advantage.

Crap...Bittersweet. At least we lasted a day longer than the 2004 National Champs Ohio University.

Top 8 in our first year in D1, not bad at all.
Any chance the finals could ever be played at LaHaye? I don't know what the other arenas in ACHA are like.

ahh...i tried watching the last period on the video feed without much luck....I can't say I am disappointed by this season...of course I wish we could've gone further, but we can be very proud of how well our team played in their first year in D1 ACHA....
So what are the chances of playing ACHA D1 hockey for 5 more years, build a strong program there then move to NCAA D1?? I really would like to know how realistic that is....I know we wouldn't be the most competitive team in the world...the game on that level is so much faster-I attended a few UMaine games when I lived there....much, much faster...but I think if we set up a time table of when we want to make they jump that we could....though I am not sure Lahaye is made for a NCAA D1 team....we shall see
what a terrible writer i am....

We would probably need to go NCAA D3 first.

you're probably right SJ...I wish I knew if they had any kind of plan in place for any kind of jump....I know plans can change...but its nice to have them put into place

Not bad at all, indeed. I merely wanted some extra friendly bragging rights at work.
Here's to next year and I also wondered about the LaHaye center hosting after seeing the ice arena they played in.

It would be tough to get the finals here. We don't have the facilities to host the games. Kent State's facility was less than stellar, but they had 2 seperate rinks where they could have games simultaneously.

We made believers out of everybody up in Youngstown. I have a feeling we'll get much more respect in the polls next season as a result.
