Talking about N.C.State club hockey home ice options:

Details of our goal: If we wanted to place a new facility on campus, we would have to raise over $5 million dollars and wait 2 years for construction. To make Dorton Arena our home all we need to do is raise $300,000 for permanent ice, compressors, boards, zamboni and upgrade the lockerrooms. We need your help to get the word out to those that can help us reach our goal. If you have any suggestions please Email us: dorton@ncstatehockey.org. If the club hockey team at Liberty University can raise $5 million dollars (one donor) and build a fantastic facility ALL in 18 months, we can do this for sure!

does this sound like state fan thinks "liberty" is low class?? dorton arena is a dump and because of the way it's built good ice there comes few and far between. i do hope they can raise the money to make it happen.

I think those who haven't stepped foot on campus ( I was one of them for 15 yrs) severely underestimate whats going on down on Liberty Mt

Anyway, if that coach at UVA can somehow manage to convince officials there to convert U-Hall into a rink, and then NC State gets one, we have 3 schools with on-campus rinks and hopefully the beginning of a new NCAA D-I hockey conference. Just need 3 other schools.

Yea, an NCAA D-I program considering the other two aren't even ACHA D-I. Good thinking there.
