game# 21 at oakland university & game # 22 at davenport

the #8 flames hit the road once again to take on #15 oakland friday and DII davenport on saturday. oakland is 9-9-1 on the season and davenport is 16-5-1 and will look to win the season series against the flames, as they split the two game sereis in lynchburg. to see more about each team here are their websites:

according to ACHA we lose to Oakland, 6-3. Hope to have another shot at them again in the post-season

ACHA is accurate medic. it is tough to win on the road, and ronight will not be any easier.

we salvage the split on the weekend roadie. this is from the davenport website:
On Saturday, the Panthers faced off against the Liberty Flames. The Panthers were mentally ready for the game but looked physically tired on the ice. The Panthers did not get any help from the "hometown" officials either. The power plays were 5 for the Panthers and 17 for the Flames. Playing the whole game short handed was tough for Davenport, they battled until the end, but came up short in the loss with the final score being 6-3

oh- and we win the season series with them , 2-1 after splitting the earlier homestand. These two teams really match up quite well, makes for exciting hockey.
