D1 takes on Duquesne at LeHaye Friday/Saturday.
D2 has a home & home against NC State.
The D2 travels to the RecZone today, game at 8:00 PM.
They host NC State tomorrow at LeHaye after the D1 contest.

Thanks to all the Flame Fans that attended the D2 beat-down of VMI last Friday, especially the Hill Dorm 18 guys going nuts in the end zone!

I have a busy weekend in store and will be unable to check in on these matchups- please keep us updated!

I wouldn't go, guaranteeing victory against state, they will be the best team by far that the boys have played yet, they need to play smart and stay out of the box if they want to have any chance of a victory. This is a crucial weekend for the rankings, so I really hope they can pull it out.

game 2 tonight after the d1 game at lahaye

Yeah the D2 lost to State 13-3 last night, not a great game, thats for sure, this is exactly why I said not to go around predicting victory, State is a pretty good team, with a phenomenal powerplay, it was 6-0 after the first, hopefully the boys will bounce back and come prepared tonight.

i will predict whatever i want to predict. this is a messageboard and we can say what we want. we predict on this board quite a bit. nc state must have really improved. hopefully the d2 boys will bounce back tonight

yeah- considering we beat this team 7-2 and 8-3 last year, you can't blame us for anticipating a W here. They must have ratched up their game this season.

How'd we make out in game 2?

10-1 i think was the final score i heard...i wasn't at the game...bt we lost once again...but the D1 team won again...once again the score was 9-3

The problem, big smooth, isn't that NCSU has gotten that much better, they have improved, but you are trying to compare last year's team to this years new D2 team. Don't forget NCSU was at the regionals last year with LU and was a win away from joining them at the nationals. When NCSU played them this weekend, it would be like playing the 4th and 5th lines of the D1 team the whole game. LU D1 would crush NCSU, but these guys are not as good, NCSU is going to be in the top 7 in the SE D2 rankings. Our boys will get better, but making crazy claims doesn't give an accurate rep. for the new team.

thanks for the perspective, alum- we're solidly behind the guys, no matter what. It's great to have 2 teams on the mountain.

looking forward to letting the ladies get out there as well. and I can tell you that SMOOTHIE is a MAJOR supporter of ALL the programs. We're just excited for the guys!

i cannot believe you people get bent out of shape over a prediction!! GROW UP!!! i am a major supporter of LU hockey. geez i did the radio broadcast for the D1 team friday night. i want nothing more than to see LU hockey take it to the next level. as i said before, i will make any prediction i care to, whether you call it crazy or not. i fully support both teams and hope the D2 team continues to improve, but get over it! this world is full of predictions right and wrong.
