The Division III team finished off a dominating weekend, defeating VCU 13-4 after bombing VMI to the tune of 15-1 on Friday night to finish the month of September with a 3-1 record. They opened the season with a split against in state rival Christopher Newport, winning game 1 5-4 in overtime before falling 4-3 in overtime the next night.

The boys will be off on a 3-game road trip, facing Loyola MD and Salisbury University the weekend after homecoming before returning to the LaHaye Ice Center for a "road" matchup with VMI on October 20.

Ah, good ole Salisbury. Played goalie for them about 10 years ago because their goalie was injured in pregame. I was about to unlace my leg pads and they told me to get out on the ice. It was amazing. We beat Johns Hopkins 5-3.
