Jeff Boettger Promoted to Associate Head Coach
Liberty is pleased to announce the promotion of Jeff Boettger to Associate Head Coach. Jeff is a native of Alberta, Canada and enters his third season coaching the men's hockey team with a record of 52-12-4 during his tenure. Prior to coming to Liberty, Jeff graduated from Bethel University with a B.A. in Physical Education where he played Div. 3 hockey for three years. From 1997-2000, Jeff played in the ECHL and CHL, before becoming Director of Hockey Camps International for Hockey Ministries International from 2000-2003. In 2004, Jeff played for a short stint in Div. 4 hockey in Germany befor heading to Liberty to coach.
"Jeff has been a tremendous asset to our team, coaching staff and organization as a whole," Head Coach Kirk Handy stated. Jeff's responsibilities will include player development, organization of practices and game management.
