DI 2009 Opening Doubleheader: Davenport

The 2009-2010 Liberty Flames drop the puck on the new season with an old foe from the days of DII hockey...Both games start at 7:30. Im planning on going tomorrow night after I get back from Roanoke

Davenport always has a solid lineup. Should be strong season-opening test for this year's squad.

LU scores 4 unanswered goals including the game winner in OT to take the first game 7-6.

That was an amazing game! 4 unanswered goals is tremendously impressive. Our goalie made some istakes early on but really settled down starting in the 3rd period. The ice center was rocking today. Hoepfully this is a sign of great things to come this year for the hockey team.

It was a great game. Too bad they don't post pictures of the hockey games on libertyflames.com like they do with other sports. The team looked good in the new uniform and played to win.
