So we brought in a UNC OL transfer and a 6'4" WR from Purdue (prev Auburn). Even though we only return 2 of the starters we still seem somewhat deep there if we stay healthy. Losing CJ Daniels at WR sucks, but there appears to be a plethora of people to replace him and Bedgood's production with Donte Lee and now this guy, plus the transfer from NC State and Coastal.

Don't forget the receiver from WVU who was injured before the last season. He returns as well.

Yeah Reese Smith I think? There was another guy whom was said to be very fast (from Nebraska) I think? Fortenberry is a big body whom hasn't received much playing time, but maybe he can step up too? I think this position group is the most interesting heading into Summer to see where they end up.

A few more commits from P4 conferences. These commits would be making giant waves on this board just a few seasons ago. Is it possible that the NIL law changes are starting to play a role in our recruiting efforts or is this just normal 2024 transfer activity?

I'm not saying that NIL is not having a play in recruitment, but I think it's more of the normal transfer activity. A few seasons ago, getting a three star recruit was a big deal. From the Freeze era till now, this is now a norm to get those recruits. The transfers committing are mostly three stars, which P5's like a Wisconsin, Vandy, Colorado(that's in the works of changing with Prime as the image) and even Auburn (transitioning with Freeze as the head coach) still recruit. Maybe McCaw will, along with support and promotion of leadership, would look into other criterias that will help improve recruiting and increase the brand.

For me I just have a hard time getting excited about these transfers that will likely be gone before they see meaningful snaps here. I'm generally excited about the direction the program is going but even NFL rosters don't have turnover like this and they are notorious for massive turnover from year to year.
