ballcoach will have to quit his job as an usher. We know how he feels about Transfers let alone players who transfer purely for playing time purposes It’s the only intellectually honest thing he can do since he’s not a Flames Club member

He is going to file a waiver.

"I don't care what they are doing. If we lose to a bunch of born agains then I will die again." That's the funniest comment in the whole thread, and it's all pretty funny.

My favorite comment on the article: "This changes nothing. It’s still an Easy win..for Liberty."

I'm not trying to get my hopes up BUT, I would not be surprised if Malik gets approved to become immediately eligible for this upcoming season. The NCAA's process with transfers is as confusing as what comes out of AOC's mouth. So, who knows what will happen with this. If Justin Fields can get a waiver than so should Malik Willis.

@Tyndal23 this quote from Malik just bolsters the argument for P5 scheduling as an Indy. “Plus, when you look at all of the Power 5 schools on Liberty's schedule the next few years, that's the caliber of talent I want to play against. I wanted to put myself in the best position I could, and Liberty gives me the chance to do that."

Will he play QB for sure ? Maybe losing starting job to 3 QBs at auburn made him realize his best shot at the league was to play WR in Hugh’s system.

Let’s not crown him QBjesus quite yet. He’s been beaten by

Did you not read his quote in the ESPN article? That sounds like a QB talking, not a WR. :fineprint
"I never really got a chance to throw the ball at Auburn, and that's not a knock on Coach [Gus] Malzahn or Auburn. They were great," Willis said. "I just never got a chance in games to show that I could throw it. It was all in practice, and I look forward to showing what I can do in Coach Freeze's offen
."

NCAA has their favorites. It's really confusing why they approve some transfers and deny others.
At least you’re consistent and oppose this young man transferring

Malik is not transferring to play any position other than QB, so any other ideas or guessing can be put to bed. I spoke with several people connected to the program who have said Malik could be to Liberty what RGIII was to Baylor. Seems like quite the statement, but that is how talented this guy is. If the waiver is approved, there is a good chance he will take the starting spot this season.

Malik chose Liberty because of Freeze. This is a perfect example as to the recruiting ability of our new head coach. Even if he doesn't pan out, this is a massive get for Liberty.

Thats a lot of kool aid there. Buckshot for his flaws was a solid g5 fbs qb. Willis we just dont know yet. For the first time ever, our qb situation is right. We have a veteran a young super talented 3 star to groom and push. Now enter the other vet who is different than your starter. Its the best and the situation we should have had all along. May the best man play.
