So what pushed him towards JUCO? Can't be academics or character with ivy offers. Did he just want to bulk up for better schools?

Don't we have a slot for 1 or 2 more players in 2018 ? why not enroll him and bring him in right now for fall camp? He could see playing time this year easily...

I believe once you enroll in JUCO aka sign your letter of intent you are locked in to playing with them or sitting out until the next season if you were to transfer elsewhere.

This kid will be a solid pick-up for us the next season if we can sign him. Rion Davis and Jeremy Peters both graduate and those are two big losses in the defensive backfield.

Agreed...6-2 and 205 coming off a year in JUCO.. we sign him and he could be a fine force player in the defensive backfield

If you are a full qualifier out of HS, I don't believe there is any transfer issue. Mason Cunningham made a similar move. But just to clarifiy, I checked and he would be a 2019 signing and not for the 2018 class.

Ok, so now I know of 2 people named Satchel. Dad must have been a real baseball fan!
