Hopefully some of these guys have committed behind the scenes. If not were going to go down to the wire on a ton of kids. The 3 star ol boyd was slated to come and at one point christian harris. Guessing we tried to get the 2 star db kid we just offered as well.

IF this is the Van Dellen kid who was at North Dakota State then he was a 2 star per 247sports. Also, We are in the top 3 for Marcus Harris per vip article 247. His visit at Kansas will be critical. I would sell him on how Austin Lewis was used this past season and ended up being Freshman All-American.

He throws a nice ball, but did not look particularly fleet of foot. If one is to beat out Buckshot, it will be someone who can run. From what I have seen, Coach Freeze definitely prefers a QB who can tuck it and run effectively, ala Chad Kelly.

He has 3 times the mobility that Buckshot does and has unreal ability to move around the pocket and escape trouble. Is he a Bennett type ? No. Is he going to beat out Buckshot ?- No - Did our QB room just get better ? YES. Is Buckshot going to be able to drop off 2nd half of season and feel no pressure for his starting job ? - NO. I don’t expect Buckshot to trend downward as season progresses like past 3 years - this staff will keep him improving - rooting for him to go out on top.

I've done my research and Hugh Freeze runs my type of scheme. I'm actually glad he's back in the game. If they don't have a good tight end then they don't have a good offense. I caught his eye and he loved my film. I love the way they're Christian-based and how they use the tight end.

Just some fun predictions:

1. We land 3 of the 4 lineman we are pursuing (Maisen Knigt 3 star, Jonathan Boyd 3 star & Carson Williams)

2. We pull in Christian Harris 3 star & Marcus Harris 3 star

3. Twitter LU recruiting sensation Terry Lambert never makes it to the Burg.

4. We pull in 1 grad transfer

5. We pull in one surprise recruit that none of us knew was coming aka Emanuel Dabney (3 star juco DB) from first signing period.

6. General Booty 2021 qb enrolls 2 years early and massacres Buckshot in the qb competition to earn QB1 and is dubbed greatest QB name in history.

My crazy prediction is Coach Freeze locks down anything he wants.

Looks like from today and this weekend that Brian Merritt(3 star DT), Jonathan Boyd(3 star OL) and now Micaiah Overton(3 star TE) will all be here at some point this weekend. Would love to get Christian Harris on campus this weekend as well.

Overton has a really good chance of playing from day one. Our TE depth looks like this as of now: Chris Barrett(who I think is going to explode on the scene this year), Zac Foutz & Jerome Jackson. Johnny Huntley has been talked about as a potential fit there but I am not sold on that just yet. For the system that Freeze runs Huntley's receiving skill fits but I don't know how good of a blocker he is. Overton could jump up to number 2 on depth chart by the time Syracuse come to town.

By the way, Marcus Harris the 3 star DE from Bama is on an official visit to Kansas this weekend. I don't think he signs with them for 1 major reason: playing time. Of the 5 Defensive Ends they have signed in 2018 and 2019 4 of them are jucos and highly rated 3 stars. They are bringing in a 4 star DE this weekend to visit as well who 247 predicts will go to Kansas. They brought in another 3 star DE last weekend who is rated higher than Harris.

All this to say: I firmly believe Marcus Harris signs with us!

Putting things in perspective with this class because at times I have been like wow, we are only rated there with this recruiting class.

This years class could possibly get to 12 or 13 3 stars(depending on what Terry Lambert truly does)

According to 247's rankings from 2011 to 2018 we only signed 14 3 stars. When you look at our all time highest rated recruits on 247 sports in the top 20 you find 15 of the top 20 on our roster as we speak.

With how well it seems we are going to close out the 2019 class the excitement is building for how our 2020 class will be.

So, we know officially Brian Merritt, Micaiah Overton and Elijah James will all be on campus this weekend. Yet, Jon posted on the website this morning that there will be 5 visiting this weekend.

Anyone know who the other 2 will be? Will one of these 2 be that pleasant surprise?

There is no way we sign all those DEs, even if they all wanted to come. We don't have the schollies. I'm thinking we may have dropped out on one of them, and Edwards will probably go to Miss St. Hicks and either Harris would be awesome. I'm thinking Marcus.
