A Sea Of Red

Its been tough not to notice the increase in posting in sections like 'Lynchburg Life' and 'The Courtyard'. With that in mind, I was wondering whether the board would prefer we have the Fireplace section moved up to the top and then have the sports moved down.

What do you think?

I realize that posting activity in the sports will increase dramatically once the school year begins.

I think everyone is just bored right now. I say keep it like it is!

This is a sports board, first and foremost. Right? I think it is. Keep sports at the top.


edit: on a side note, I never noticed that one section is called the furnace and the other was the fireplace.

I say leave it like it is. I think 90%+ of us come on here for sports info related to LU first and foremost.

Keep sports at the top. Even though I post mainly in the courtyard, I come here for the sports. You guys do a good job keeping the info current and relevant. If I could watch the Flames I'd post there more.

i say leave it as well..supporting the athletic department is the site's main goal....the other stuff is great when there is little to talk about sports wise....like the summertime...

It appears this was fairly obvious. It will stay as is.

Actually i did....we all keep harping on the fact that we wish more people would join. I figured a change in format might at least get some more people to post in those forums since sometimes im sure people do just assume this is a sports only board. We actually do have some other interesting topics.......

To me i guess i see that switch like i do a living room.....all the furniture doesn't always have to fit one way, and different setups accomplish different results or vibes...

I see all sides:

1. We are prob the best message board for Lynchburg City you can find...theres so much non Liberty info on here and you can find answers in seconds to any question about the city

2. If we were to change it then we obviously are about Liberty University and Sports happens to fall under that section

3. If we were to change it I do think that our membership would increase tenfold


but, let's not forget our roots and that is LU Sports and Firehouse

Yes, we would like non-LU'rs getting on here so we can show them the type of people we are, how much we care about this city, and everything that's going on in Lynchburg/LU

No, they will Shuck us every chance they get and the board will turn into a negative type place (although I think we've been there and back!)



It's like the debate about some Church's going out into the community and some staying right where they are...but this is a lot less important!
