is there anyway to post Instagram videos or other online video/media similar to how the [youtube][/youtube] code works on here?

ie: instead of a link the video displays/runs in the thread

or is it a bandwidth issue for the site?

At first I couldn't only see 2 black boxes, then noticed a box popped up when I loaded this thread that said: "Only secure content can be displayed" - click: "display all content". Once, I did I could view the first video, and the 2nd video (from instagram) says: "Sorry, this URL is not supported"

Anybody else getting the same results?

So, no instagram. I'll try to find one for that.

Unfortunately not. Scorcho and I looked into setting up protocol for several different video formats a year or so ago. That resulted in the You Tube code. I tried to talk him into adding Vimeo but it was a ton of work. Perhaps Bearly Doug can find some code from somewhere to open up some other options.

Sly, what browser are you using? The first video works for me on IE10.

ok I switched to IE and the first one (after a message asking me @ secure content) shows "Fragments of Iceland"

the second has a box stating "Sorry this URL is not supported"

Same with me.

PS it didnt size correctly but when I clicked the expand function (?) between the "HD" and the VIMEO logo, it went full screen no problems.

Yeah, I am on Chrome and it clearly isn't supported. I haven't checked out the new Firefox yet.

I've got Firefox and the video is just a black box.
