Banning Members

Schorchy, I sent you a PM about one member being banned who contacted me. I know they were not purposefully banned however I just got a couple more people emailing me about being banned. I suppose their IP addresses are the reason but I just wanted to let you know.

What happens is this...
Sometimes we ban a range of IP address from a particular Internet Service Provider because people in that range are spamming the board or otherwise being troublesome. The problem is that ISP's do not assign unique (aka static) IP addresses to their customers. So if you happen to have the same ISP as someone who has been banned, the next time your IP address changes you might land in a range that we've banned.
Rest assured that it is not intentional, but just the result of the imperfect methods we have for handling such things.
As always, if you have trouble with the board (including being banned) you can email
help@flamefans.com for help.

Well, I am retiring from FF. The entire 'getting into fights with people dumber than me, making a post that almost cost my wife her job, and having someone who once posed as me on the board' kinda means I should call this quits.
You won't have Dantes to kick around any more, because, members of Flame Fans, this is my last post.
