Normally I would deal with issues like this with a PM to Schocho or Sly, but since the issue is PMs I can't. Anyone else having issues with PMs? i go to send them and they just sit in my outbox for hours and never go anywhere.

they stay there until the person reads them then they are sent to the sent box

I'm trying to reply to a PM, but when I go to the control panel it just sits there like this
I can't type in that area. Am I having a problem or am I just confused about sending PMs

That's because you're a new user. New users aren't allowed to use most of the board features until we're sure they're not spammers. This is an semi-automated process and will happen on it's own if you continue to post.
I know that probably seems heavy handed, but after our last bout with porn spammers, we had to take a hard line.
