Hey, it's another distance runner at LU named Cox ...
Kenai (AK) Peninsula Clarions wrote:In the men's race, 2008 Grace Christian graduate Ryan Cox turned the tables on Todd Boonstra, a three-time Olympic skier and four-time Mount Marathon champion, with his last title coming in 2003 at the age of 41. Last year, Boonstra ran 16:23 to defeat Cox by 33 seconds. This year, Cox improved to 16:12 to get the best of Boonstra by 31 seconds.
In the five-kilometer race, Boonstra said he was able to keep up with Cox for just under a mile.

"I knew the first mile was important," said Cox, who will run at Liberty University this fall. "If I could hold the lead one mile into the race, I was confident I could win."

Welcome to the fold, Ryan. You have some big shoes to fill if you want to live up to the "other" Cox. The big question is, will he ever appear on "The Bachelorette" like his namesake? http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports/20 ... tness.html

Just letting you guys know, there is a lot of buzz about LU's cross country team this year in running circles. Last year's success was just the beginning of something very big...
