Hey, it's another distance runner at LU named Cox ...
Kenai (AK) Peninsula Clarions wrote:In the men's race, 2008 Grace Christian graduate Ryan Cox turned the tables on Todd Boonstra, a three-time Olympic skier and four-time Mount Marathon champion, with his last title coming in 2003 at the age of 41. Last year, Boonstra ran 16:23 to defeat Cox by 33 seconds. This year, Cox improved to 16:12 to get the best of Boonstra by 31 seconds.
In the five-kilometer race, Boonstra said he was able to keep up with Cox for just under a mile.

"I knew the first mile was important," said Cox, who will run at Liberty University this fall. "If I could hold the lead one mile into the race, I was confident I could win."
