Kurgat headed to Nationals

Redshirt freshman Ednah Kurgat finished second at the NCAA Southeast Regionals on Friday, punching the first Lady Flames ticket since 2012 (Jennifer Margraff (Klugh))

Kurgat finished 12th, becoming Liberty's first ever female cross country All-American

Edna finishes 4th at 5k in the nationals to earn 1st team All-American. Congrats to her for an amazing season.

I would not be surprised if she was one of the favorites for nationals in XC this fall.

I don't find Ednah's name on the 2016 roster for Track & Field or Cross County. Is she still a student at Liberty?

She may be sitting out...track and cross country are a funky breed where you can redshirt in XC but compete in the other two

Finally got our answer...tweeted Damien and she apparently transferred to New Mexico...interesting move according to him

Ednah was second for New Mexico at last weekend's NCAA Indoor National Championships in the 5,000-meter race.
