Athlete of the Week: Jack Tidball

On Sept. 24, Tunkhannock Area’s Jack Tidball helped lead the Tigers cross country team to three wins at its meet at the Wyoming County Fairgrounds. Tidball finished in 17:08 and first against Meyers, Hanover Area and Holy Redeemer, but second in the cluster to Lake-Lehman’s Dominic Hockenbury. For his accomplishments, Tidball has been named the Wyoming County Press Examiner’s Athlete of the Week.

Family: John, father; Elizabeth, mother; Ben and Davis, brothers.

Biggest role model: “My parents because they’re very supportive.”

Post-graduation plans: “I’ve narrowed it down to High Point University, N.C. State, Liberty University, University of Nebraska or University of Pittsburgh.”
