As far as level of competition in track and field and cross country is concerned, conference affiliation has Little bearing. There are no dual meets in conference, only one championship meet with all teams competing. Tolsma has been able to put together schedules every year which provide plenty of challenge to our athletes.

I agree. Conference affiliation does have little bearing( except the SEC and ACC) on meets you may attend. However these conferences have built an enviroment of competition. Not to say that these conferences would ever consider Lu. Coach Tolsma cant do it alone. Schedules provide places. Belonging brings success.
