"Meanwhile, Sam Chelanga will race against some of the world's top distance runners at next Saturday's New Balance Indoor Grand Prix. He will run the 3K at the Reggie Lewis Center at 7:10 p.m. The meet will be televised on ESPN2 Feb. 6, from 2-4 p.m."

Should be interesting. 3000 meters is basically a sprint for Sam. Not his best distance.

I saw the race on ESPN2, and Sam came in 4th. He ran a personal best in the race, and accounted well for himself. It was nice to see him race on TV. I've only been able to read about his performances.
