Lots of things going on at the Williams Stadium today. Sparky will be there as well as the Marching Band, contests will be held and introduction of team, especially Freshmen so that the freshmen student body will know their peers. I'll try to take pictures. Jerry Jr. will welcome everybody. Jeff Barber will explain to freshmen all that goes on at the games. Coach Rocco will also say something and then everybody can stay and watch practice if they want to - under the lights

Please...somebody tell them the true meaning of FLAMES...and that it does NOT refer to flock of eagles.

Fumble, Barber made that very announcement.
And then an LU football player tacked a Coastal dummy wearing a teal T-shirt.
And the band was wear RED T-shirts, for a change.

Prior to Thursday night’s practice, Liberty hosted all incoming freshman at the Chancellor’s Cookout at Williams Stadium. During the night’s festivities, the freshman were taught the traditions of being a Flames fan. Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr., spoke, as did athletics director Jeff Barber and head football coach Danny Rocco.

Funny thing about this picture: the t-shirt on the dummy is from Coastal's version of the LUnatics.
