There are players you encounter that you just root for and 2009 Clover High standout Ricky Moore is one of those guys. The sheer amount of effort and heart that he puts on the line each time he touches the football field just begs for a huge cheering section. His hard nosed brand of football has numerous college football programs throughout the southeast showing strong interest.

For the past few months Ricky Moore has been swamped with letters and interest from schools all over. Some programs however have been stepping up their efforts in comparison to others and Moore shared those schools with us. "Georgia Tech, Coastal Carolina, Charleston Southern, Liberty, and Presbyterian are really coming the hardest. I still get a good bit of mail from Duke and North Carolina State too." Lehigh along with William & Mary are two more programs who have been showering Moore with attention as of late.

Asked if he had a favorite currently he replied, "Georgia Tech and Liberty." The Yellow Jackets are in the group because of a few factors. "Well my number one is Georgia Tech I love their offense they run a spread version of what we run at Clover."

Liberty had previously told Moore that playing time would be readily available during his freshman season.

Sounds like this kid either misunderstood the level of actual interest all of those D1 programs had, or was doing some shameless self promotion. D2 Newberry is a pretty big step down from Georgia Tech.

I also highly doubt that any of our coaches told him that playing time would be "readily available" as a Freshman.
