Scout wrote:Iowa State Interested in Florida Quarterback

One thing that you have to like about Fort Pierce (FL) quarterback Isaac Virgin is that he sets high standards for himself.
"I would like to play to the standard of Tom Brady," he said. "He's the ideal quarterback and one day I would just like to be able to show as much knowledge at the postion as he does."
Isaac holds scholarship offers from South Florida, Liberty, and Iowa State and currently has no leaders for his services. "I'm undecided at the moment," said Virgin. "I want to get to know the coaches better and go on my visits. That way I'll get to see if I could live in that atmosphere."
THe 6-foot-4, 235-pound Virgin has camped at South Florida and said he will likely take an unofficial visit to Liberty late in the summer.

Fort Pierce (Fla.) QB Isaac Virgin has seen his scholarship offer total climb to three, but it is not enough for the 6-foot-4, 232-pound gunslinger. Virgin, who has an Iowa State offer, wants to attract more attention this fall.
Purdue already has as many prospects committed from the state of Florida in the class of 2009 as they have had in the previous three classes combined. Head coach-in-waiting Danny Hope (pictured) does not plan to stop there, however, and last week extended an offer to a South Florida quarterback who has emerged this fall.
Westwood (FL) High School's Isaac Virgin is not ready to make a final decision but one thing definitely stood out on his visit to Iowa State this weekend.
"They got a lot of guys from where I'm from," said Virgin. "They have 21 from the state of Florida and like 11 or 12 from the Palm Beach area which is not too far from where I live."
And it appears we will be getting an official visit and we are very much still in the mix despite some very impressive company ...
Isaac hopes to take a few more visits over the next month or two and then make his decision. "My top four are still Iowa State, Purdue, South Florida, and Liberty," he said. "I plan on taking visits to each and then mostly likely I'll make my decision after that happens."
I was wondering about Mr. Virgin when I was talking about Mr. Perry signing wigt the team earlier. I hope that he does come to LU and I think that he would start if he did decide to come here but I am glad to say that either way we are good to go

USF has added its quarterback to the 2009 recruiting class with a commitment from Isaac Virgin, the sturdy signal caller from Fort Pierce Westwood. Virgin (6-4/230) said he didn't plan to leave campus on Sunday as a Bull, but there was no reason to hesitate after a weekend that showed him all he needed to see . . .

FORT PIERCE — Fort Pierce Westwood's Isaac Virgin is bullish on Big East football.
The Panthers quarterback verbally committed to the University of South Florida over the weekend during a visit to the Tampa school, ending a recruiting process that had him visiting schools in Iowa and Virginia.
"I committed in my meeting with (Bulls head coach Jim Leavitt). Right now, I don't even think I'll be making any other visits," said Virgin, who also had traveled to Iowa State and Liberty University.
The biggest selling point the Bulls made was that Virgin, a 6-foot-5, 240-pound versatile athlete who runs a 4.75 40, would be given a legitimate shot at playing quarterback and not be moved to another position like tight end.
