from that last link that manson linked
Welcome aboard Knute. I'm a p/t "coach" at the school. you are right on. Pat will sign with an SEC or a major college somewhere here in the south. Florida is coming by today along with Ole Miss for practice.
Rocco will be king of the universe to land this guy.

I will pull this thread up in 3 years when this guy and see where this guy is and laugh at manson. At that point he probably won't even show his face around there.

How can this thread have lasted this long without a Facing the Giants reference?

I have a friend from Dade Christian and he told me that Coach Skalaski was at Sherwood during the spring recruiting period and developed a great relationship with this kid. He was at Liberty's Junior Day and particpated in their camp. Suppossedly he really liked Coach Skalaski and Coach Rocco. I have heard from multiple sources that he has committed to Liberty.

Now this would be a pretty awesome commit (especially with the programs that are obviously gunning for him AND considering a lot fo the talk on that Rivals board) now if we ink this kid...that could get us seriously noticed

Paradox has more posts than florida flame, but personally, I trust florida flame more than paradox, any day of the week, on any topic!

I am a casual poster on here and wish the best for Liberty. If your standard for determining credible post is the number of posts someone has then I will never have credibility on here as I can assure you I am never going to be prolific in my post. Enough said, for you doubters, do your own research...go to
www.walb.com and check out the sports section from 6/27. You could also simply google Pat Mays and see what you find.

That's the link ff is refering to....
The defensive lineman made a commitment Friday, and will play his college ball at Liberty University.
Liberty competes in the Big South Conference at the former Division 1-AA.
Mays transferred from Lee County to SCA after the football season last year, and says it wasn't that hard to turn down the big boys.
"A lot of schools," says Mays. "A lot of great schools. People look at me and say, 'Man, you're crazy for going to Liberty,' but I'm doing it because I think that's where God is sending me to go."

also, check this....
"It was pretty easy because Liberty's got the best weight room in the nation, they got the best football facility ever, and they got a ton of guys in the NFL, that's what I'm looking for," says Mays. "Plus, it's a great atmosphere to be around, and the coach is great."
This kid is more enamored with us that TBGBGB is with Tyler Baker, or paradox is with Seth Curry.

Considering that this guy had 4 SEC programs gunning for him (then us and Middle Tennessee) getting this commitment is huge as I said before. Sounds like this kid definitely wants to sign with us. How long til signing day?

First off, those of you on here who have met Florida Flame at a tailgate know post counts shouldn't even enter the thought process. Thanks for the heads up, my man.
As for the commitment, these are exactly the types of kids we are always talking about targeting at LU. A kid with lots of options who WANTS to come to LU because of who we are. Big ups to Coach Skalaski (our Southern Superstar on the Recruiting Scene) and the entire program.

Until it's on paper, I would hold the laughing to a light chuckle, maybe a giggle.
