Will we break our attendance record of 15,631, set at the 2006 Homecoming vs. William & Mary, this year? If so, what game?

Yes. Whatever homecoming is this year.

What about the Elon game? That could be a matchup of two top 15 teams at the end of the year.

Thats all you have to say in a thread about attendance???? I thought for sure you would take a shot...I mean it was set up perfectly for you and everything (even though I dont agree with your stance on that subject)

Students will be gone. I highly doubt we'll have a great student section that game. You'd have to convince them all to stay instead of going home for Thanksgiving.

I am going to stay. :P

I think that if we are undefeated for the Elon game, we might have a big group of students staying. Hey Hold My Own, can't you get a certain relative to change Thanksgiving break? And I ain't talking about Godwin.

10/11 - 3:30 pm - Stony Brook

Because of posting wins at both Youngstown State and Coastal. The guys will have proven themselves and the fence sitters will be on the band wagon.

I think Stony Brook will be the day we break it too...I have a feeling that we are going to easily be over 14000 for the first couple games and if this team is undefeated when the Seawolves come to town we may have to bring in a LOT more extra bleachers for the game

I didn’t realize that was during thanksgiving break. That sucks.

If I was related to him I'd....nevermind

That's tough to do! The easiest thing would be to create a good incentive for them to stay....hmmm Thanksgiving dinner at JJ's farm??? Somethings got to be good enough to keep a few thousand people here for a big football game

Yeah it should be just that, a good football game.

Yeah...I'm not trusting our student body to grasp the importance of a big game...not yet...and we're making strides but I dont think they're at that level yet (aside from a few hundred)

If not for timing, I'd say Elon- I'd like to see that become a bit more of a rivalry. I wonder how they travel; if I'm not mistaken, it's less than two hours drive. I guess the break screws up that game. Stony Brook wouldn't be a bad guess.

Remember our home opener last year? The Bill was jumpin'. We drew 14,900, I wouldn't be surprised if we broke the mark then, and then re-break it later in the year.

If all goes well we could have not only a 10 game winning streak when SB comes a callin...we actually would have a 10 game home winning streak as well. I really think we will be over 14,000 easy at least for the home opener though

If this season goes like we're expecting it to, I'd say Stony Brook.
As for the home opener, Tech will be playing ECU in Charlotte when we have our home opener so that might help us some if gas prices remain high.

It's going to be homecoming. Sadly, the only game I'll get to attend until the WVU game in '09.

Welcome to those of us frustrated in front of our desktops or laptops every Saturday.

The crazy rise in airfares the past 30 days has me feeling uneasy about my presence at homecoming. But barring weather concerns like last year it should be our highwater mark for the fall.
