Next up we have the other half of Liberty's "thunder and lightning" backfield:
Zach Terrell RB
Last year Zach had a TD in every game he played last year and finished second on the team in carries (109), yards (763) and TDs (11)

I love Zach, I hope the coaches work more plays into the system for him because he's so dangerous.

I really want to see us use him more in the passing game. Anything we can do to get him the ball in space. We lost a couple of real playmakers at WR, and although Dominic should be teriffic and we have some other talent, I think Zach is the logical one to give us that explosiveness. Of course he can also run the ball when Rashaad needs a break, and possibly in a 2 back set, but I don't think Rocco likes that too much.

Hi guys. I have been following this site for about three months. Decided to give my 2 cents. Zach could be a bigger threat than what they use him for. With him and Rashad on the field at the same time, you would keep the defense guessing. Zach can pass, catch and run. I would like to see him involved in more plays. There were some games last year that Zach may have taken some of the attention away from Rashad but they wouldn't put Zach in the game and the Defenses were keying in on Rashad. Let's MIXIT UP!!!!

Do you forget that Zach played the entire second half of the season with a broken wrist? He couldn't throw the ball and had trouble at times holding on to it to run. We couldn't throw it to him because it's hard to catch with a broken wrist.

Yes Jon that was the case, but in the games before Zach broke his wrist and after Rashad was back, they didn't fully utilize him. They may have planned to later in the season, but we don't know.

Which game did he break his wrist? There was no way to use Zach at Elon because we got down so much so early. He broke it against Ship or St. Francis, I can't remember.

I thought it was Toledo, no it was the game before Toledo. St Francis, right?
I know that's not a big sample, but we knew any chance we had at the playoffs hinged on the W&M game at least a little bit. We should have pulled out all the "tricks" for the game.
Yeah I know, the goal was to be big south champs.
We'll see how he's utilized this year, I just hope it's alot more than this past.

The W&M game was kinda like Elon. We got down big early and Zach wasn't that great of a receiver so we used Rashad in the routes instead of Zach.

I just want to see us use him in the passing game a little bit next year, kinda like Randle El. He good be a good receiver and good also run some sweet trick plays as a passer.

Before this spring he was never really great as a receiver. That's why he practiced with the receivers in spring ball, so he could become a better receiver and we could use him next year in it.

good. I'd love to see him line up as a third receiver/ slot back type of guy. He would be amazing at that. He has the speed to be a huge threat on reverse plays, but you also have to respect his throwing abilities and play him a little deep. Could create some big play potential for us next year.

No he doesn't. Zach's not fast. Zach is shifty and can make people miss, but he doesn't have great straight ahead speed.

It has become a bit of a hazing deal for new posters until you get a certain level of posts to rip on spelling and grammar. In GMTM's case the hazing never ends.

Speed or no speed. We are discussing someone who came here as a freshman and was good enough to become Freshman of the Year in the BSC. There needs to be a place for him whenever the offense is on the field. He's another weapon in our arsenal.
