Not that that's a huge surprise but I saw this on the PC board and laughed.

I guess we're their nemesis now. Although, I guess that would be in much the same way as a gorilla is the nemesis of a banana.

I feel like crying!
No matter what they are still the BLUE HOSERS, and we must always drill them!

I guess the loathing can be returned, but for some reason I'm not shuddering about a trip down there.

Would it be wrong to take a team picture in front of the scoreboard after the game?

It's a natural rivalry for us. It's not the best location-wise but our school denominations scream fued.
I like it. I think the Presby game was probably my favorite this year. Larry's love-line was absolutely classic.

Don't those Hose have to prove something before we can consider them to be our rivals? I mean, I can despise Phil Mickelson, but I can't consider him to be my golfing rival...

i think the hate they have is based on a few of their guys who post on our board. im not so sure the students at PC care but i could be wrong.

It has to begin somewhere, smoothie.

It's just a natural. It started with football--they certainly were full of themselves until they came here and Rocco turned them right around.

We don't really hate you, Liberty. We just loathe you in a manner that defies description.

What rivalry is it where one school thinks it's a rivalry but the other school always says you have to win for it to be an actually rivalry...I think it was in college basketball...either way thats what this is

A rival is someone with whom you have a [relatively] long and emotionally charged history. I don't consider LU a rival because we've only played y'all once in the last 20 years. Just because LU isn't a rival doesn't mean I can't dislike it, though.

That's cool with me, Kilts. Anything that can generate some sizzle for a league game is a good thing.
I know in this context I shouldn't admit this, but I actually enjoy you PC guys.

Here we come

Presbyterian will be fully incorporated into the Big South two years ahead of schedule. We are scheduling Stony Brook in 2009 and 2010 which means we are now eligible for the conference regular-season championship beginning in '09 instead of having to wait until 2011. We are also immediately eligible for post-season All-Conference awards.

The PC fans that I know definitely thought so. Actually, though, the PC students I know are pretty cool. It's the older fans and alumni who thought that they were going to come to Lynchburg and stun us like they did Coastal.
However, some spark in the form of a rivalry, however minor, is useful. It definitely makes the game and league more enjoyable. Either way it should be a good game in Clinton this year.

We should have a guy on the team with a "PCHATEME" jersey, like the guy from the XFL
