I'll call that BIG and immediate impact on the team. Good job! WOW!
Did he play at all for 'bama?

As far as I can tell, he didn't play at 'bama.

Is he projected at tackle or guard?

Cuz you know if he transfers from Alabama, he must be good.

Very cool indeed. This definitely is going to affect the battles on the offensive line in the spring.

He was listed as the top offensive lineman in the state of VA coming out of high school

We did lose a lot of talent and experience on the O-line, but I think we already had depth and wouldn't have dropped off much anyway. With this addition and further development from guys like Weaver, Hodges, Mosier, Stone, Godsil etc., we may be nearly as dominant as we were last year.

Is there a link to the article? I couldn't find it.

Wow, I didn't know you guys would be this excited about the transfer. He seems like a good kid. I met him the other night. He's from the area too so it's a homecoming for him.

A transfer from 'bama, who was the #1 OL prospect in state out of high school. Why wouldn't we be excited?

I think rightly or wrongly a lot of us attributed the success of last years OL to the FBS transfers and thus we are happy to see another one coming in. I think we all know however that our future will be built primarily on recruits we get out of HS. Since this kid has 3 years of eligibility, it will be almost the same though. :woohoo

From Lang's article:

"Rocco was one of the coaches who recruited Stadler out of high school when he was on the staff at Virginia."

Rocco said, "I can remember watching his high school training film like it was yesterday. He was a guy who had an unbelievablly extensive highlight tape out of high school. It had weight training, it had vertical jumping, it had him doing all kinds of drills in the gym. And then football film."

"Stadler is one of three protential transfers, but the only one from an FBS school, but Rocco cannot comment on the other two until they are officially enrolled in class at LU."
