A kid who plays primarily at QB but is projected at any number of positions (most likely DB) at the next level has an offer from the Flames. He played in the Carolinas Shrine Bowl.

So we wouldn't be looking at him as a ZT-like back?

At 5'9" he may be too small to play RB or AB

It wouldn't hurt to get another "ZT type back" because he could redshirt next year, and after ZT is gone the following year, he would be the back up like DB is now.

We're set at running back. There's a more pressing need at DB.

Here is the latest on this guy (well that I could find):
Caps Shrine Bowl ATH Justin Payne (5-9 160) has been getting some interest from Liberty but might walk on at a major program. He had over 2300 total yards this season and accounted for 23 touchdowns.
