By Ted Allen

Six losing seasons, including a second 0-10 campaign this fall, took their toll on Staunton River football coach Dave Rocco, who announced his resignation to athletic director Ricky Falls late last week.

Fumble, I saw the same thing in the paper, and I would have posted it myself, but I teach a 7:40 class. However, I would have more accuately posted it on the Lynchburg section instead. Still, a good one, and I do enjoy the humor it your post, but ONLY because I read it in the paper first.
:rofl

As a heart attack survivor, you may have caused some of our older alumni :oldhag (SCAR, Sly, OldFlame, et al) to go into cardiac arrest with your post.

HMO, didn't Rustburg beat SR this year? Not saying that Rocco shouldn't have been hired there-just wondering. I think he would be dealing with the same issues at Rustburg that he is complaining of at SR...very small roster, injuries, etc.

SR is the pits though...RHS has potential

SR is dying slowly...Liberty High is too...they are going to have to do something soon up there...RHS's biggest problem is kids transferring to go to LCA and BHS...that would all change with the correct coach....SR is a dead end job...they won the state title in I-AA football just a matter of 5 years ago or so...been down hill since, they used to be good for 7 or 8 college ball players a year and a few going I-A

Wasn't it in 2000 or 2001 when the Red Devils also won 2A Division III?

The way your post reads...
SR is a dead end job...they won the state title in I-AA football just a matter of 5 years ago or so...been down hill since
...made me think that you were talking about SR...and I don't recall them even being in the playoffs in the 7+ years I've been in the area...outside of Golf and Baseball.
