This kid in Alabama has a great story of overcoming odds. I'd love to see him come to LU whether he plays football or not.

'Bullet' continues to defy the odds

Vikings' Tim Brown continues to overcome his size, injuries and -- most importantly -- a rare disease, and as a result has become an inspiration on and off the field.
Tim Brown has had to overcome a lot to play high school football.
First, at 5-foot-5 and 160 pounds, the Mary Montgomery tailback is a little guy playing a big boy's game. He missed most of last season with a broken leg. This year, he's missed the last two games with a deep leg bruise. He keeps bouncing back, however, and expects to be in uniform Friday night when the Vikings visit Theodore.
All that would be a lot for anyone to overcome. But for Brown, that's not the half of it.
The senior was diagnosed two years ago with fibrous dysplasia, a rare disease that results in tumor-like growths of fibrous tissue. For Brown, the growth was at the base of his skull.
Those plans involve going to college -- he's considering Southern Miss, Liberty University and Lambuth College -- earning a degree in graphic design and, hopefully, playing football.Click Here for Full Story
He knows his size will be a drawback on the college level. But he also knows what hard work and determination can do.
"I just have to get faster and stronger," he said. "I believe just like the Bible says: Your work will not go in vain. I believe if I work hard enough and keep my head up, I'll find my way to college."
