I'm not quite sure how this guy slipped between the cracks, but better late than never:

Aaron Lundy
6' 5" 305 lb Offensive Lineman
Chilhowie (VA) High School

The commitment was reported in this Bristol fishwrap:
Chilhowie's 'big man' ready to lead the way

Chilhowie High School’s football team is in store for a big game tonight. The Warriors will once again look to get a strong performance from their big man.

Six-foot-five, 305-pound senior lineman Aaron Lundy has been an anchor on both the offensive and defensive fronts for Chilhowie, which is off to a 7-1 start and is tied with George Wythe for the Hogoheegee District lead.
Lundy also made an important decision before the season started as he verbally committed to Liberty University.

"My parents went up there and visited, just to try to scope it out without any pressure," Lundy said. "I happened to run into the football coaches … I just liked it. They are very committed to excellence and to the Lord, which is something that’s very important to me and my family. I went to some other schools and just felt like another guy in the crowd. At Liberty, they really cared. I just prayed about it and made the decision, and it was good to get it out of way."

That's everything I have. Southwest VA isn't exactly a media hub.

He definitely has good size to him. Get him under Gillespie for a year or two and imagine how big he will be.

Likes Sheep (at least, in 2003 he did)

Aaron Lundy from Chilhowie has had an exciting summer working with his show lambs. This is Aaron’s
first time showing sheep. He competed at the Rural Retreat Fair as well as the Rich Valley Fair. Aaron
has done a wonderful job with this project.

NATIONAL SIGNING DAY: Chilhowie's Lundy headed to Liberty

CHILHOWIE — Aaron Lundy made a vow as a middle schooler that he wanted his football career to last beyond the high school level.

"I’ve wanted to play college football since I was in the eighth grade," Lundy said. "I came home one day and told my mom, this is something I want to work towards. I want to be the best, and I want a free education."

After five years of intense hard work and productivity on the field, the Chilhowie High School senior’s dream came to be a realization on Wednesday afternoon. The 6-foot-5, 305-pound offensive tackle officially signed with Liberty University in a ceremony in the high school’s library.

Aaron Lundy may be the first Chilhowie gridder to land a D-I scholarship.

By Robert Anderson
981-3123

Standing 6 feet, 5 inches and weighing 315 pounds, Aaron Lundy was an imposing presence in high school football stadiums.

When the Chilhowie graduate enters the working world, he hopes to be a giant in his field. "I would like to be a second-grade teacher," Lundy said. "I work well with little kids. I know you're thinking of 'Kindergarten Cop,' but I've been around little kids all my life. For some reason, kids are not very intimidated by me."

Lundy did a better job striking fear into opponents.

The second-team All-Timesland offensive tackle led Chilhowie to an 8-2 record last fall and was one of only three Timesland players to sign a Division I scholarship in February when he cast his lot with Division I-AA Liberty University.
