With only a limited historical perspective, I ask my more experienced flame fan bretheren, has there been a more accomplished time in the university's history?
1. Big South Football Championship
2. Big South Volleyball Championship.
3. Big South Soccer Championship.
4. NCAA Cross Country Champion.
5. Record breaking number of All Conference Winners.
6. Am I leaving anything out.
How big is Jerry's smile this weekend?

While it's not an athletic accomplishment, Jerry in heaven must also be very proud of our law school's 89% passing rate of the bar exam:
http://www.liberty.edu/libertyjournal/i ... 8&artid=36
Liberty University School of Law has announced that 89 percent of its law graduates who took state bar exams nationwide passed them...LU law graduates took bar exams in 16 different states.
LU Law Dean Mat Staver said it is not unusual for a new law school to have a bar passage rate in the 30- to 40-percent range. A milestone in the history of a law school is when it reaches a bar passage rate of 70 percent. In Virginia, the overall passage rate for all law schools was 71.97 percent.

I've been here since 74 (and have a pretty good idea what happened before then).
The answer to the first question is
NO. We are competing more successfully, in more sports, at a higher level than we ever have, and there has DEFINATELY never been a 3 day period that came close to this past Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
I believe it's been said here before, and it is being bourn out. Jerry's passing made the leadership of our athletic programs even more motivated to excell, and it has been transmitted through each head coach and assistant to the athletes.
The answer to the second question is
BIG

I dont think there is any doubt it's the biggest as far as accomplishment as a whole I mean any time you can win 3 Championships and add into that a national title come on....that's not brain surgery!

It certainly ranks right up there with the Dunton firing.

It's very close.
LU's women's bb team going to the Sweet 16 and the men bb upsetting UVA were both big moments in the past.
But as far as overall sports...this was the best weekend.

It's definitely the biggest weekend. The only thing that comes close is when the women made it to the sweet 16, but that was only one sport, this was 4.
